NCFE Certificate (Level 2)

RESORT REPRESENTATIVES

A short course aimed at Travel & Tourism students and
other sixth-form students who may wish to work within
the travel industry as part of a gap year, seasonal
experience or in worldwide travel. This course is
assessed through a portfolio of evidence.

Specific Entry Requirements: A range of D Grades
at GCSE level.

Additional Expenses: £30 for trips.

Progression: The Resort Representatives qualifi cation is
a suitable progression to undertake the practical application
of resort-personnel responsibilities. Conversely, this Level 2
qualifi cation is useful as an entry to seasonal resort-representative
employment.

NCFE Certificate (Level 3) FOR ON-TOUR MANAGERS

This is a short intensive course which could be studied alongside the BND Travel and Tourism. You
will study the role of the tour manager, customer care, investigate land-based and air travel, analyse
accommodation and defi ne cruise ship responsibilities.

Specific Entry Requirements: Five GCSEs at Grade A* - C, including English.

Additional Expenses: Trips and equipment approximately £60.

Progression: This course will add considerably to your portfolio when applying for university courses.
It can lead to consultancy employment in the travel industry, especially in the tour operations area, and
even more so when linked to another special interest or area of expertise.
