Advanced Engineering Facilities

Our modern engineering workshops and high-tech machinery enable us to develop teaching of
Advanced Engineering focused on four identifi ed disciplines: CAD, CNC, Process Control and
Composites.

Hospitality Facilities

Our extensive hospitality facilities are complemented by two purpose-built training kitchens, where
students are encouraged to learn the skills they need for hospitality professions, as well as our
Employers' Forum.

DaVinci Restaurant

Our popular training restaurant is open to students, staff and members of the public for lunches and
also organises many themed evenings such as such as Italian, Greek and Indian. Call 845341 to book

The Leonardo Building

Our innovative £5.7 million Leonardo Building is the purpose-built home for our Art and Engineering
departments. Most of the ground fl oor is used by Engineering students, while the second fl oor features
IT and music practice rooms as well as classrooms. Art & Design students use the top fl oor, which
features darkrooms and facilities for Fine Art, Media and Graphic Design courses.

Pure Beauty

The training salon offers an extensive range of treatments to external clientele from Monday to Friday,
including facials, non-surgical face-lifts, refl exology, sports massage, electrolysis, body massage,

The Hair Zone

Treatments include a range of the latest cutting, blow-drying, perming and colour treatments for both
men and women, undertaken by one of our supervised trainees. The Hair Zone is always looking for

The Megabite

The Megabite offers a wide variety of food varying from healthy light snacks to substantial meals, hot
and cold drinks and sandwiches, etc.

5th Floor Science Centre

The 5th Floor Science Centre at the College is an outstanding open-plan laboratory suite which brings
science teaching and learning into the 21st century. Its unique design has prompted visits from other
colleges across the UK and it fulfi ls its role to provide a purposeful working atmosphere for our students
where science can be enjoyed.

The Learning Centre

Designed to support different learner-needs, the Learning Centre is fully equipped with resources
including books, journals, online subscriptions and DVDs and 70+ internet-connected PCs. Students
are supported by our knowledgeable and helpful Learning Resource Advisors. Connexions Advisors
and the Learning Link are also based in the Centre.

Fitness Centre

The Fitness Centre offers a full range of aerobic and resistance equipment for students, staff and
members of the public. This includes an extensive free weights area, with all equipment IFI (Inclusive
Fitness Initiative) accredited. The Centre is suitable for disabled sports persons. The adjoining multi-
purpose Sports Hall is also available for hire to the public. The College's sports facilities are used to
enhance the learning experience, whilst contributing to community sport.

The Centre provides quality education and training for both young people and adults. We can give you
the opportunity to study across a number of occupational areas such as Electrical, Security, Hair, e2e,
